Key Holding
There is nothing worse than being woken in the middle of the night to be told that your alarm has gone off; especially if it is in the middle of winter.
We can securely store a set of keys and alarm codes for your premises so that if your alarm goes off it is us that responds; not you.
You can either have a direct link from your alarm to our Operations Centre or have us detailed as the “responsible person” on your alarm notification paperwork and signage. Either way, one of our trained Security Officers will travel to your premises, silence the alarms and make a full security sweep of the premises.
It has been known for criminals to break in, set off the alarms and then hide inside the premises. After the alarms have been reset they will then take their time and select the choicest items. They may well set off the alarms when they leave, but by then they have gathered up your goods and are able to make a rapid escape.
It is also not unknown for criminals to continually set off your alarms without entering the premises, as the Police do not attend after three false alarms.
After the third or fourth time of being dragged out of bed, you may well assume that there is a fault with the alarm and just turn it off. The criminals then strike and there is no alarm given.
Our Security Officers never leave your premises unsecured. If a faulty alarm is suspected they will call your alarm maintenance contractors and wait until they arrive and check out the system. In addition, our Security Officers are well acquainted with most alarm systems and may often track down the cause of a tripping alarm, saving you the maintenance call out charge.
